8 YEARS AND OLDER
Different levels of contemporary dance are offered in order to have a specific approach for each student. Having a strong influence of classical ballet, we strongly recommend that the student take at least one ballet class per week in order to participate in the contemporary class.
Contemporary I
10 to 14 years
Tuesday 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.


Lasting one hour and fifteen minutes once a week, this course is aimed at students who wish to develop a solid foundation in contemporary dance. The course progresses through work on the ground, in the center and guided improvisation exercises. The course is offered to students of Ballet IV and Elementary as well as to students who are not registered in ballet (10 years old and over with a base in dance or other discipline related to movement. Contemporary II
12 years and older
Thursday 7:45 p.m. 9:15 p.m.


Lasting one hour and thirty minutes once a week, this course is aimed at students with a solid foundation in contemporary dance or classical ballet. The course progresses through work on the ground, in the center, more complex sequences, faster learning and diagonal exercises. The course is offered to students of intermediate and advanced levels as well as to students who are not registered in ballet (13 years and over with a strong base in dance or other discipline related to movement. Example, gymnastics).

Beginner adults

Lasting one hour and fifteen minutes once a week, this course is for those who have never or little done contemporary dance. Offered in a friendly atmosphere that respects everyone's abilities, this course allows students to acquire a solid foundation in contemporary dance in order to flourish through groundwork, center work and improvisation. The techniques taught in this course are Limon, Graham and Release.
